Boho Theme Backyard Wedding- Idaho Wedding Photographer- Matt + Amanda

Matt and Amanda’s backyard wedding was so special. I knew it was going to be stunning when Amanda told me that she wanted bright colors and that the dance floor was going to be made of rugs in our first meeting!

Their entire day was hosted at Matt’s mother’s house in Nampa and it honestly looked like a wedding venue someone would pay for. It was huge and was decorated so beautifully by florals from Gerald’s Floral (scroll to see the insane arch). My photographer heart was soaring!

I started out with Amanda getting ready and fell in love with her dress from Kate’s Bridal Cottage. I love watching brides get ready and seeing the nerves and the anticipation. It’s such a cool moment to capture! Then we moved onto photos we could get done before the ceremony without Matt and Amanda seeing each other- which was tricky but we did it! Matt and Amanda decided to wait to see each other until the ceremony and I’m so glad they did because Matt’s reaction was the best! After the ceremony we were in a race to beat the sunset (we literally had like 30 minutes) but I think we nailed it! The light was straight-up gold and almost every shot I took was a winner!

Then they threw the best party I’ve gotten to photograph in a long time. Wedding day candid photos are some of my favorites and this crew definitely gave me some material to work with! I had an absolute blast!
